Manager, Software Development – Secret

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Software (SW) Development team and various programs across sectors to ensure alignment with mission objectives.

• Act as a work package manager, leading the planning, execution, and delivery of SW products to the next level of integration while meeting contractual cost, schedule, and technical specifications.

• Manage a team of approximately 5-12 individuals to complete the entire software development life cycle in an Agile environment.

• Report on budget, scope, and schedule progress utilizing Agile Metrics and EVMS methodologies.

• Facilitate risk management and provide technical guidance to the team.

• Engage in the complete software development life cycle, including design, implementation, testing, and delivering software products to our customers.

• Work within Agile Scrum teams to develop software products for multiple software baselines.

• Oversee the quality and timeliness of the organization’s products, identifying and resolving potential issues before they escalate.

• Support program reviews as needed.

• Provide Functional Management to direct reports, encompassing career guidance, performance management, staffing, interviewing/onboarding, disciplinary actions, and direct engagement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field with 8 years of relevant experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 6 years of relevant experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 4 years of relevant experience.

• Candidates must possess a current US Government Secret level security clearance (at a minimum).

• Must have the capability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment.

• At least 4 years of recent relevant experience with programming or scripting languages, specifically C# and Python.

• Prior experience in agile development, including roles as Product Owner, SCRUM Master, and/or team member in an Agile development setting.

• Must hold a Security+ (or higher) security certification OR have the ability to obtain it within 90 days of the start date.
