Manager – SAP Basis, Release

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Oversee, manage, and implement the layer of Curtiss-Wright’s SAP environment.

• Design, monitor, and secure SAP systems, middleware, and interfaces.

• Administer and set up technical connections within the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), Integration Suite, or corporate enterprise middleware.

• Conduct cross-system technical troubleshooting to resolve data blockages and connection failures.

• Develop release strategies for projects and operational systems; ensure that transport changes progress through the landscape.

• Own and manage the strategy and execution of the Transport Management System.

• Coordinate code and configuration releases, conducting dependency checks to prevent regression.

• Lead the planning and execution of release activities, including the creation of release plans and communication of status updates.

• Govern SAP changes to the Change Advisory Board and ensure adherence to compliance and audit requirements.

• Maintain thorough release documentation and facilitate post-release reviews.

• Establish and uphold release management processes and best practices.

• Promote “Clean Core” development practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in an enterprise setting.

• Over 10 years of experience in SAP Basis/NetWeaver administration.

• More than 5 years of experience in a cloud-hosted or SAP RISE environment.

• Extensive technical knowledge of SAP integration technologies (IDocs, RFCs, Web Services, API Hub).

• Familiarity with contemporary middleware solutions (SAP BTP Integration Suite, Azure Integration Services, etc.).

• Expertise in SAP Transport Management, Solution Manager (ChaRM), or modern cloud ALM platforms.

• Proven experience in managing complex, multi-vendor IT landscapes with high-volume data exchanges.

• Previous experience in aerospace, defense, or nuclear-adjacent manufacturing environments is a plus.
