Manager, Clinical Trial Management

📋 Description

• The Manager of Clinical Trial Management (MCTM) provides a progressive career pathway for professionals in clinical research. Responsibilities center around managing and fostering the career development of Clinical Trial Managers (CTM, Sr. CTM, and Principal Clinical Trial Managers (PCTM), in addition to supporting departmental initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality and efficiency of Clinical Trial Management operations.

• This role necessitates the capability to independently lead, oversee, and inspire a team of CTMs (both employees and/or consultants) to align with Precision for Medicine’s core values and commitment to quality. The Manager will guarantee that studies are executed in compliance with relevant SOPs, regulations, and ICH GCP principles.

• Develop, mentor, coach, and manage CTMs and PCTMs to enhance their skill sets in accordance with Precision for Medicine's quality standards while advocating for individual growth and career advancement.

• Collaborate with the Clinical Operations Management Team and leaders in other functional areas to continuously refine CTM expectations and procedures, promoting quality, consistency, and efficiency while meeting established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

• Partner with the Resourcing team to ensure that Clinical Operations resource allocations and requirements are effectively addressed.

• Create action plans and provide strategic oversight to enhance CTM services, with an emphasis on delivering high-quality outcomes for individual, team, and departmental objectives.

• Offer continuous feedback and development opportunities to manage the performance of direct reports.

• Deliver technical support and guidance (including scope definition, risk identification, escalation and mitigation, resource planning, goals, and deliverables) to assigned CTMs.

• Ensure that all assigned CTMs have the necessary resources, training, materials, and access to systems to fulfill their job expectations.

• Confirm that CTMs maintain high-quality standards and comply with established SOPs, working guidelines, project plans, and all regulatory requirements.

• Ensure CTMs provide timely and accurate updates on all required administrative materials (SOPs, T&E, etc.) within company systems.

• Execute other duties and departmental initiatives as directed by Leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• A 4-year college degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a scientific or health-related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in clinical research, including clinical operations experience within a pharmaceutical company or CRO, or demonstrable competencies relevant to this position.

• Proficient understanding of ICH GCP guidelines and the clinical development process.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with others in a collaborative environment.

• Exceptional organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a customer service-oriented approach.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight stays.
