This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Create frameworks for machine learning engineering that encompass governance, testing, and automation.
• Construct and implement machine learning platforms utilizing model registries, feature stores, and monitoring systems.
• Operationalize and enhance data science models to ensure reliability, scalability, and optimal performance.
• Automate the processes of model retraining, maintenance, and monitoring in production.
• Guarantee that data science models adhere to Responsible AI best practices.
• Design efficient and scalable machine learning systems aimed at improving healthcare operations, strategies, value enhancement, patient safety, and satisfaction.
• Collaborate with data scientists, application developers, data architects, and systems engineers in developing ML systems and pipelines.
• Employ advanced analytical methods and tools to address healthcare challenges.
• Lead and manage initiatives from their inception through to workflow integration.
• Involve stakeholders along with analytics, data science, data architecture/engineering, and software engineering teams.
• Act as a subject matter expert and resource for others.
• Implement and maintain cutting-edge data science tools and methodologies that provide strategic insights and products.
• Proven experience in leading the development of MLOps machine learning platforms utilizing model registries, feature stores, and monitoring tools.
• Demonstrated expertise in the end-to-end development, implementation, and management of machine learning systems and pipelines within operational workflows.
• Proficient in creating and utilizing custom APIs, functions, libraries, and/or packages across various programming languages.
• Advanced programming and code review skills in Python, R, Java, Scala, or other similar statistical and data analysis software tools.
• Familiarity with Linux and Bash scripting.
• Extensive experience with DevOps best practices and tools, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.
• Advanced ability to write and optimize queries for large or complex datasets, including unstructured data.
• Knowledgeable in Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, NoSQL, and in-memory data stores.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Capable of thriving in a collaborative, remote development setting.
• Strong ability to communicate technical insights through data visualization as well as written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
• Experience in cultivating machine learning partnerships across various organizational levels.
• A degree in data science, computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related quantitative/computational field is preferred.
• Experience with Azure or AWS cloud computing and Databricks is preferred.
• Background in healthcare or insurance is preferred.
