Localization Specialist – Spanish

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• MTPE translation: Modify machine pre-translated content to align with marketing, product, and sales-related quality standards.

• Linguistic Excellence: Research industry-specific terminology to ensure top-notch translations in a technology-focused SaaS environment.

• Quality Assurance: Oversee the complete localization process, including SEO optimization, UI/UX evaluation, LQA, adaptation workflows, asset finalization, and other localization best practices that distinguish us in our target markets.

• Quality Adaptation: Work closely with internal stakeholders to collect feedback and implement necessary modifications to meet market-specific requirements.

• Terminology Management: Develop and manage glossaries and style guides to maintain linguistic uniformity.

• Localization Best Practices: Leverage your localization expertise to create genuinely localized experiences throughout various asset creation workflows and contribute to our continuous improvement.

• Review & Automation: Enhance AI-driven translation outputs and review existing content.

• Perform additional localization-related tasks as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in both Spanish and English.

• Outstanding writing and proofreading abilities in Spanish, with the capacity to adapt highly technical material.

• Previous localization experience as a translator, interpreter, or in a comparable position.

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, capable of working remotely and prioritizing tasks effectively.

• Strong interest in IT topics.

• Proactive approach with a steadfast focus on meeting the expectations of the target audience.

• Bonus Skills:

• Familiarity with Translation Management Systems or CAT tools (e.g., memoQ).

• In-depth understanding of the variations in Spanish preferences between European and Latin-American audiences.

• Knowledge of SEO best practices.

• Experience with WordPress or other Content Management Systems.

• Certifications in Linguistics or related fields.
