This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy for families, individuals, and groups dealing with eating disorders and associated diagnoses in a virtual clinic (telehealth) environment.
• Apply family-based treatment (FBT), enhanced cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT-E), cognitive behavioral therapy for ARFID, and other evidence-based solutions for patients of all ages and their families facing eating disorders.
• Manage a caseload of 30-40 clients, with a commitment of 20-26 hours dedicated to direct patient care, while allocating the remaining time to administrative duties.
• Engage in initial and ongoing training sessions.
• Conduct assessments and diagnoses of mental health conditions.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team that includes physicians, dietitians, patient mentors, family mentors, and external providers.
• Utilize between-session messaging to assist patients and maintain communication with the treatment team through Equip’s EMR, adhering to Equip’s policies and procedures.
• Actively participate in Treatment Team meetings, supervision, and departmental gatherings.
• Maintain licensure in your home state and acquire licensure in additional states as needed by Equip (licensure costs will be covered by Equip).
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Possess an active, unrestricted, and independent license to practice psychotherapy in Kansas.
• Capability to manage a diverse caseload of patients of various ages, backgrounds, cultures, and levels of acuity, including those with co-occurring conditions.
• Strong commitment to evidence-based treatment and care.
• Availability to provide care two evenings per week, meaning being reachable until 8 PM in your primary time zone for patient caseloads.
• Highly enthusiastic and effective team player.
• Proficient in safely and efficiently delivering care in a virtual environment.
• Deep passion for mental health, eating disorder treatment, and increasing access to care.
• Experience in Family-Based Treatment and/or eating disorder treatment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatments and/or intensive care settings is preferred but not essential.
• Background in supporting patients with suicidal ideation and trauma is preferred but not required.
• Experience in case management and/or close collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team is preferred but not essential.
