This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Deliver evidence-based family, individual, and group therapy for eating disorders and related diagnoses within a virtual clinic (i.e. telehealth) environment.
• Apply family-based treatment (FBT), enhanced cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT-E), cognitive behavioral therapy for ARFID, and other evidence-supported methods for patients of all ages dealing with eating disorders and their families.
• Manage a caseload of 30-40 clients, with an expectation of providing 20-26 hours of direct care while allocating the remaining time to administrative duties.
• Engage in initial and ongoing training opportunities.
• Evaluate and diagnose mental health conditions.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team that includes physicians, dietitians, patient mentors, family mentors, and external providers.
• Utilize between-session messaging to support patients and communicate with the treatment team via Equip’s EMR, adhering to Equip’s guidelines and procedures.
• Actively participate in Treatment Team meetings, supervision sessions, and departmental meetings.
• Maintain licensure in your home state and secure licensure in additional states as requested by Equip (licensure expenses will be covered by Equip).
• Possess an active, unrestricted, and independent license to practice psychotherapy in Washington DC.
• Capability to manage a diverse caseload of patients of various ages, co-occurring conditions, backgrounds, and cultures, with differing levels of acuity.
• Commitment to providing evidence-based care and treatment.
• Availability to deliver care two evenings per week (which includes being accessible until 8 PM in your primary patient caseload's time zone).
• A proactive and enthusiastic team player.
• Ability to safely and effectively provide care in a virtual setting.
• Dedication to mental health and eating disorder treatment, with a desire to improve access to care.
• Experience in Family-Based Treatment and/or eating disorder treatment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Background in evidence-based treatment and/or intensive treatment environments is preferred but not essential.
• Familiarity with supporting patients experiencing suicidal ideation and trauma is preferred but not required.
• Experience in case management and/or working closely with a multidisciplinary care team is preferred but not necessary.
