This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Deliver individual, group, family, and other practical counseling services in various environments to address the needs of clients/patients and their treatment objectives.
• Conduct intake, screening, and comprehensive assessment processes within the designated timeframes set by state regulatory, accreditation, and agency standards.
• Identify and document diagnoses based on thorough assessments.
• Create treatment plans for clients/patients in line with state regulatory, accreditation, and agency standards, ensuring they reflect individualization and development based on assessment data.
• Engage in clinical staffing and treatment meetings, offering insights on relevant cases.
• Accountable for fulfilling department-specific Collaborative Service Goal (CSG) requirements.
• Collaborate closely with internal departments to guarantee that authorized services receive approval and that sufficient information is shared within specified timelines.
• Record all services rendered in compliance with state regulatory, accreditation, and agency standards.
• Ensure timely and proper entry of services, with notes referring back to treatment plans.
• Rectify any documentation or charting deficiencies within the appropriate timeframe.
• Support clients/patients during the transition process and finalize correspondence such as transition summaries, plans, letters, etc.
• Complete all mandatory training to meet state regulatory, accreditation, and agency standards.
• Represent the agency professionally within the community.
• Maintain positive, professional relationships with referral sources, clients/patients, and colleagues, adhering to the Code of Ethics and agency policies/procedures.
• Manage crisis situations as they arise.
• Participate in or coordinate emergency services to provide immediate assistance in crises.
• Assist in delivering professional/clinical supervision to trainees once all professional prerequisites are fulfilled.
• Facilitate group counseling, group education, family therapy, and individual sessions, including specialized services such as trauma and co-occurring therapy.
• Provide training and guidance on clinical matters and evidence-based practices.
• Offer clinical consultation to treatment team members when necessary.
• Show interest in the long-term and short-term goals and objectives of the organization.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
• A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is required.
• Must hold licensure with the relevant board of professional registration for the state in which they practice as a professional counselor or social worker.
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credentials are necessary.
• Willingness to obtain licensure in additional states beyond the currently licensed state is required.
• Comfort and willingness to provide telehealth services to the individuals served (training will be provided).
• Proficient in diagnostic criteria for individuals with substance use disorders and/or mental health issues.
• Comprehensive understanding of caseload management and rehabilitation methods, principles, and techniques as they pertain to mental health and/or substance use disorder treatment services.
• In-depth knowledge of the challenges encountered by individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
• Extensive knowledge of the methods, modalities, legal requirements, and court procedures related to treating mental health and/or substance use disorders.
• Familiarity with supervisory and training techniques and practices used in mental health and/or substance use disorder treatment environments.
• Ability to develop, coordinate, and assess services within assigned programs.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting documents such as safety regulations, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for producing clear and concise reports.
• Capability to establish effective relationships through telephone, telehealth, and in-person interactions.
• Ability to follow directions and accept supervision.
