This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the key engineering decision-maker for challenges related to subsurface utility map creation, ensuring that technical outcomes are optimally aligned with project and product objectives.
• Represent Exodigo in client interactions, engaging in meetings to clarify, defend, and address inquiries regarding mapping outputs and engineering aspects.
• Cultivate extensive expertise in the Exodigo technology stack and leverage this knowledge to guide engineering decisions and trade-offs.
• Assume complete responsibility for the quality of final outputs, ensuring precision, consistency, and compliance with engineering standards.
• Analyze and design utility systems for large-scale infrastructure initiatives, facilitating smooth integration with Exodigo’s core offerings.
• Develop and evaluate conceptual utility plans, suggesting optimized engineering solutions that reduce project disruption.
• Ensure compatibility and adherence to CAD formats and deliverables related to utility engineering.
• Execute QA/QC processes across deliverables, concentrating on enhancing accuracy and logical integrity throughout all phases of the project.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to synchronize engineering decisions with advanced mapping and AI-driven technologies.
• Remain well-informed about utility engineering standards, conventions, and industry developments, applying this knowledge in daily tasks.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering.
• Must hold a Professional Engineering (PE) License.
• 7-10 years of experience in Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE), ideally on complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of utility engineering standards and best practices, with a dedication to ongoing learning in this area.
• Proficient in Autodesk and/or Bentley Systems, as well as GIS, with solid skills in CAD formats and engineering deliverables.
• Ability to thoroughly comprehend and navigate a technology-driven environment (preferably AI/mapping platforms).
• Strong analytical thinking and engineering judgment, particularly in ambiguous or complex situations.
• Experience with QA/QC processes and a robust sense of ownership regarding the quality of deliverables.
• Exceptional communication abilities, including the capability to interact directly with clients.
