Lead Software Developer – Performance Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Your responsibilities will be approximately divided 30/70 between product support within the team's domain — handling third-line tickets, investigating performance incidents, and implementing defect fixes — and developing new platform features and optimizations.

• You will take full ownership of platform feature development from beginning to end: including technical design, implementation, merge processes, and maintenance, primarily focusing on the web backend.

• Collaboration with Business Analysts on detailed specifications and with QA engineers throughout the delivery process will be part of your role.

• You will conduct peer reviews and uphold standards for technical design, code quality, maintainability, and performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software development using .NET, C#, and MS SQL Server, particularly in backend web applications.

• At least 2 years of experience in a senior or lead engineering position.

• Background in a product company with a substantial and mature engineering organization.

• Knowledge in working with ERP, CRM, accounting, document management, or other business systems.

• Independent experience in designing and developing platform-level functionalities.

• Experience in creating custom components or infrastructure when standard libraries and off-the-shelf solutions did not meet requirements.

• A genuine curiosity about the internal workings of the technologies you work with: focusing on the .NET runtime, database servers, and related infrastructure.

• Practical experience with performance profilers, memory profilers, performance optimization, analyzing memory dumps, investigating performance incidents, and telemetry analysis.

• Proven track record of ownership: serving as a technical leader for projects from start to finish.

• Understanding of the business implications of technical decisions beyond their technical aspects.
