Lead React Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Responsible for the technical and disciplinary management of a client project, such as taking over an existing GIS project in the public sector or implementing React at a major manufacturing firm.

• Collaborate with the client and the team to develop and execute a practical architecture, refactoring, or migration plan.

• Provide technical leadership to the project team, focusing on task prioritization and coaching in modern frontend technologies.

• Serve as the primary liaison for the client, ensuring clear communication and acting as the first point of contact for technical and organizational inquiries.

• Translate functional requirements from analysis through quality assurance and create proofs of concept to assess new technologies.

• Maintain code quality and technical sustainability through pair/mob programming, active participation in agile processes (Scrum), and ongoing knowledge sharing, including mentoring.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience with React 19 and TypeScript (strict), preferably in large, intricate web applications.

• Proficient in using Tailwind CSS alongside shadcn/ui (Radix UI).

• Strong grasp of state management, ensuring a clear distinction between server-state and client-state.

• Familiarity with Vite as a build tool.

• Extensive experience in testing with Vitest and Testing Library, with knowledge of Playwright being a bonus.

• Comfortable with Git workflows (feature branches, rebase).

• Knowledge of OpenLayers and GIS is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a readiness to share knowledge, moderate technical decisions, and guide development teams.

• Proficient in German (at least B2, preferably C1) and good command of English.
