• Serve as the independent authority on quality for all externally developed applications and systems.
• Validate all features delivered by vendors prior to release, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Confirm that solutions align with business requirements rather than merely technical specifications.
• Identify gaps that vendors may overlook or inadequately test.
• Define and execute a quality assurance strategy across all systems.
• Establish test plans, acceptance criteria frameworks, and checklists for release readiness.
• Implement automation where suitable, without overengineering.
• Review and critically assess vendor-generated test cases, QA processes, and approaches to defect resolution.
• Ensure that vendors are not evaluating their own work.
• Proactively escalate quality risks in a clear and timely manner.
• Take ownership of testing across system boundaries, including ERP, eCommerce, CRM, and data platforms.
• Validate real-world workflows such as order-to-cash, customer journeys, and data flows.
• Identify failures that may only manifest in end-to-end scenarios.
• Ensure data accuracy and proper transformations and mappings across systems.
• Validate reporting outputs and dashboards against source systems.
• Act as a gatekeeper for production releases with clearly defined go/no-go criteria.
• Engage in sprint reviews and release planning activities.
• 5–10+ years of experience in QA or software testing roles.
• Proficiency in English, both written and oral, at least at a B2 level (90% or above).
• Experience in vendor-led or outsourced development environments.
• Strong understanding of both manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Experience with API testing tools, such as Postman or similar.
• Familiarity with test management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or their equivalents.
• Experience in testing across integrated systems, including ERP (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite) and CRM systems.
• Independent thinker who is not swayed by vendor narratives.
• Detail-oriented, able to uncover issues that others might overlook.
• Business-savvy, conducting tests based on real-world usage rather than just specifications.
• Assertive communicator, willing to halt releases when necessary.
• Systems-oriented, with an understanding of how failures can cascade across platforms.
