Lead Engineer – Email Deliverability

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Stabilize & Scale the Platform: Address systemic bottlenecks, enhance fault tolerance, and guarantee high availability for essential phone services.

• Efficiency & Performance: Streamline resource utilization (CPU, memory, network) to manage millions of operations while lowering cloud expenses.

• Tech Debt & Modernization: Spearhead long-term refactoring initiatives, phase out legacy systems, and implement scalable patterns.

• Security & Compliance: Fortify data protection, access controls, and auditability throughout the platform.

• Developer Velocity: Enhance tooling, observability, and automation to speed up engineering workflows.

• Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and other engineering teams to synchronize on platform priorities.

• Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor engineers, establish architectural standards, and steer the platform roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of backend engineering experience, including the design of fault-tolerant systems and experience with high-scale platforms.

• In-depth knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous job processing.

• Strong proficiency with relational and NoSQL data models, particularly in handling complex temporal data.

• Proven history of architecting intricate systems and delivering scalable, high-performance web applications in production environments.

• Solid understanding of software design patterns, API design, and microservices architecture within a multi-tenant context.

• Proficient in guiding technical architecture, making impactful engineering decisions, and mentoring other engineers.

• Experience with code quality practices, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and optimizing development tools.

• Outstanding problem-solving abilities, accompanied by clear and collaborative communication skills.
