Lead Engineer, Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead and guide a team of data engineers.

• Design, architect, and implement scalable data pipelines and processing systems utilizing modern cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Establish and uphold best practices, standards, and governance frameworks in data engineering.

• Propel the technical vision and roadmap for data infrastructure and platforms.

• Enhance data workflows for improved performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.

• Perform code reviews to ensure solutions are scalable and maintainable.

• Effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in data engineering or related fields, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or engineering management role.

• Proficient in Python and SQL is a must.

• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.

• Experience in the design and implementation of enterprise-level data lake solutions.

• Strong knowledge of data warehouse concepts, including star and snowflake schemas.

• Awareness of real-time data streaming technologies like Apache Kafka or AWS Kinesis.

• At least 2 years of experience in team leadership or engineering management.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.

• Understanding of data privacy, compliance, and security best practices.

• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics or Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer).
