This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Collaborate with practice and delivery leadership to enhance and expand our Data & AI capabilities.
• Establish and refine our technical vision, reference architectures, and delivery methodologies.
• Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert during executive discussions with clients.
• Forge relationships with Microsoft and technology partners to remain at the forefront of platform advancements.
• Lead solution architecture for strategic initiatives and intricate proposals.
• Facilitate executive workshops, architecture reviews, and data strategy sessions.
• Convert business challenges into persuasive and defensible technical solutions.
• Create client-ready deliverables: architecture blueprints, roadmaps, and business cases.
• Design enterprise-level data platforms covering ingestion, transformation, storage, analytics, and governance.
• Architect solutions addressing both real-time streaming and batch processing workloads.
• Establish data governance frameworks utilizing Microsoft Purview and industry best practices.
• Ensure solutions are secure, efficient, cost-effective, and production-ready.
• Provide architectural governance across ongoing engagements.
• Conduct design reviews, resolve technical obstacles, and guarantee delivery quality.
• Advocate for documentation standards, knowledge transfer, and long-term maintainability.
• Mentor architects and engineers, raising the overall competency of the team.
• Produce high-quality technical content: blogs, white papers, reference architectures, and presentations.
• Represent GOBI at industry events, webinars, and Microsoft partner forums.
• Contribute to the development of practice intellectual property and the creation of accelerators.
• Over 8 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data solutions.
• More than 5 years in client-facing consulting or professional services roles.
• At least 3 years leading architecture across multiple simultaneous engagements.
• Demonstrated success in implementing enterprise data platforms.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (Preferred).
• Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (Preferred).
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (Preferred).
• Databricks Certified Data Engineer or Architect (Preferred).
• Executive presence: Confident, credible, and persuasive with senior stakeholders.
