Lead Cyber Security Engineer – Nuclear

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate Critical Digital Asset (CDA) determinations and assessments for technical precision.

• Address associated corrective actions and notifications at the plant.

• Verify configurations of site-installed devices by utilizing network diagrams and system documentation.

• Assist in the installation of software and hardware on the plant's digital systems.

• Modify device settings to enforce cyber security measures.

• Offer technical assistance as requested by supervisors in Digital Engineering and Cyber Security.

• Carry out additional tasks related to cyber security.

• Guide team members in utilizing data, automation, and AI tools to enhance engineering processes and create cost-effective designs.

• Supervise automation and process improvement initiatives, including calculations, technical document summaries, and design documentation, ensuring proper review of outputs.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 10 years of experience in design engineering for process control systems.

• General familiarity with cyber security concepts and Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems.

• Preferred experience in design engineering for control systems in nuclear power plants.

• Proven expertise in nuclear power cyber security.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, though not mandatory.

• Basic knowledge of cyber security and cyber security operation centers.

• Understanding of network systems.

• Capacity to respond to and update requests promptly.

• Prior experience in designing or implementing networks is beneficial.

• Willingness or capability to lead others using contemporary tools like automation and AI.

• Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, or advanced Excel automation is valued but not essential.

• Additional education in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related disciplines is appreciated.

• No sponsorship for U.S. work authorization is available.
