This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.
• Assess and evaluate the alerts generated in SAS in accordance with the AML Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) within the defined turnaround times (TATs).
• Refer cases to the Investigation Team as required or as specified by the AML SOP within the established TATs.
• Support the Manager of AML by delivering a thorough quality analysis for the cases reviewed.
• Identify any significant Financial Crimes risks during the review and analysis of customer accounts and communicate these to the Line Manager and/or Head of Transactions Monitoring or their delegate.
• Propose innovative solutions for more effective and efficient operations.
• Oversee the SAS AML System and perform necessary reviews to aid in the closure of alerts or further investigation/reporting.
• Report any breaches of Compliance Policy, Financial Crimes issues, or suspicions to the Line Manager.
• Carry out AML inquiries/investigations based on directives from the Compliance Manager on an ongoing basis.
• Assist the Team Manager with all Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), Quality Assurance (QA), and Audit observations by updating SAS notes timely and following through with remedial actions.
• Manage referrals from business units in accordance with the bank’s policies, ensuring compliance with applicable process guidelines.
• Complete all mandatory eLearning and face-to-face training sessions punctually.
• Maintain all analysis records in SAS and on the shared drive.
• Comply with the record retention policy and the SOP guidelines.
• Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of experience in AML Transactions Monitoring.
• Certification in CAMS or other recognized qualifications is advantageous.
• Familiarity with IT tools/software utilized for AML monitoring systems.
• Strong understanding of local AML/CFT regulations and international best practices/requirements.
• Organizational awareness, including a working knowledge of associated risks, products, processes, and controls.
• Proficient in computer applications, especially MS Excel and Business Object (BO) reports.
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
• Effective team player with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.

• Strong analytical thinking skills.
• Review and analyze the alerts triggered in SAS as per the AML SOP within the stipulated TATs.
• Escalate the cases to the Investigation Team as deemed necessary and/or as per the AML SOP within the stipulated TATs.
• Assist the Manager AML by providing a complete quality analysis for the reviewed cases.
• Highlight any key Financial Crimes risk throughout the review and analysis of customers’ account to the Line Manager and/or Head of Transactions Monitoring/delegate.
• Share innovative ideas for effective and efficient working.
• Monitor SAS AML System and conduct appropriate reviews to facilitate closure of alerts or further investigation/reporting.
• Highlight any Compliance Policy breaches, Financial Crimes concerns or suspicions to Line Manager.
• Conduct AML enquiries/ investigations upon directives received from the Compliance Manager on an ongoing basis.
• Assist Team Manager for all RCSA, QA and Audit observation with timely update in SAS notes and remedial follow up action.
• Handle referrals received from business units as per the bank’s policy, ensuring no breach of the applicable process guidelines.
• Complete the mandatory eLearning trainings and face-to-face trainings on time without fail.
