This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Develop, test, and maintain features within a Laravel application utilizing the TALL stack.
• Create user interfaces employing Livewire, Alpine.js, Tailwind CSS, and FilamentPHP.
• Investigate and troubleshoot bugs within the existing web application.
• Produce clean, secure, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Assess feature requests, clarify requirements, and suggest practical technical solutions.
• Collaborate closely with the Engineering Lead and company leadership throughout the development cycle.
• Address application inquiries and support requests when technical assistance is needed.
• Manage development tasks and feature tickets through Jira.
• Engage in Scrum-based planning, prioritization, and regular team check-ins.
• Contribute to enhancing development processes, application performance, and overall product quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Professional experience in developing and maintaining applications using Laravel and PHP.
• Practical experience with Livewire, Alpine.js, and Tailwind CSS.
• Experience in creating administrative interfaces or internal tools with FilamentPHP.
• Strong grasp of backend development, database design, and application architecture.
• Experience in debugging and maintaining existing production applications.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
• Capability to gather requirements, pose relevant questions, and define solutions when specifications are incomplete.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development practices.
• Availability for at least five to six hours of overlap with Eastern Time.
• Preferred Skills
• Experience in building applications that incorporate geolocation, maps, routing, or location-based data.
• Familiarity with Jira and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience in direct communication with customers or non-technical stakeholders regarding product requirements and technical issues.
• Knowledge of server provisioning, infrastructure management, or DevOps practices.
• Experience with React or React Native.
• Familiarity with Rust.
• Previous experience in a startup or small engineering team.
• Compensation: $4,000 to $6,000 USD per month.
• Full-time remote contractor position.
• 10 days of paid time off per year.
