Kitchen Helper

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska.

📋 Description

• Accountable for upholding sanitation standards in a commercial kitchen environment.

• Aids cooks and coordinates activities within a food service setting.

• Maintains a variety of products at designated levels in preparation, serving, or storage areas.

• Supplies various food service areas with products and materials.

• Cleans dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.

• Cleans, sweeps, and wipes down all general dining, kitchen, or storage areas.

• Assists with large cleaning projects scheduled periodically.

• Disposes of garbage from assigned locations.

• Sets up, breaks down, and cleans tables and serving lines.

• May occasionally prepare food or cook vegetables and entrees.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a commercial kitchen or documented vocational training.

• Must possess or acquire an Alaska Food Workers Card and/or ServSafe Certification upon hire.

• Must successfully pass all pre-employment contract requirements.

• Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team.

• Capable of making decisions independently with minimal supervision.

• Must be able to stand for 12 hours per shift during the scheduled rotation.

• Must be able to reside in dormitory-style accommodations.
