Junior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the enhancement of Prima’s core systems by developing ML-driven services, crafting scalable data pipelines, or establishing dependable microservices;

• Assist in the design and upkeep of data pipelines that enable teams to efficiently ingest, transform, and serve high-quality data;

• Engage in the complete engineering lifecycle: from data exploration and model development to service deployment and production monitoring;

• Continuously expand your knowledge by experimenting, reading, and exchanging ideas with colleagues to remain updated on emerging technologies.

• Capability to deconstruct problems, learn swiftly, and experiment with various approaches;

• Strong programming fundamentals (the specific language is not critical; we prioritize clean and maintainable code);

• A keen interest in data, software, and ML—gained through coursework, projects, or personal endeavors;

• Enthusiasm for building systems from start to finish: from data ingestion and transformation to model creation and service deployment;

• Drive and eagerness to learn from seasoned team members.

• Participation in hackathons, open-source contributions, or personal projects (considered a plus);

• Familiarity with Python and its primary ML libraries (such as pandas, scikit-learn, mlflow,...);

• Experience with data pipelines or distributed data systems (e.g., Spark, Airflow).
