This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.
• Conduct quality assurance evaluations of Vivid's compliance operations as necessary (e.g., handling transaction-monitoring alerts)
• Examine trade-surveillance alerts and document the justification for either clearing or escalating them; refer intricate cases and those that may require a Suspicious Transaction Order Report (STOR) to the Head of Risk & Compliance
• Aid in financial-crime investigations and the creation of unusual transaction reports to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), gathering and analyzing relevant information
• Perform adverse-media checks on vendors and counterparties to identify any news that could affect the business and escalate significant findings
• Oversee the conflicts of interest and gifts protocol, which includes issuing declaration forms to relevant stakeholders, collecting responses, and maintaining the register
• Assist in gathering data and inputs for Board reporting, under the guidance of the Head of Risk & Compliance
• Support internal and external audits as well as regulatory reviews by preparing necessary documentation and evidence
• Provide assistance to the broader Risk & Compliance team with registers, record-keeping, and ad hoc projects as the business expands
• Approximately 1-3 years of experience in a risk, compliance, or financial-crime position within a regulated financial institution
• A solid understanding of the regulations pertinent to an investment firm and crypto-asset service provider, particularly regarding market abuse (MAR), MiFID II, MiCAR, and AML/CFT (Wwft)
• Familiarity with investment products and/or crypto-assets (such as equities, derivatives, foreign exchange, and cryptocurrencies)
• An analytical and investigative mindset with the capacity to draw and clearly document well-reasoned conclusions
• Exceptional attention to detail, well-organized, and capable of reliably managing recurring tasks, forms, and deadlines
• Strong judgment, discretion, and integrity when dealing with sensitive information
• Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English; proficiency in a second European language is an advantage
