Junior Compliance Operations Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Execute customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) for individual and corporate clients of BTSE’s licensed entities.

• Assess and verify KYC/KYB documentation during the onboarding process and periodic client reviews from licensed jurisdictions.

• Conduct regular evaluations of higher-risk clients, ensuring that documentation and risk profiles are current.

• Keep precise and comprehensive records of compliance reviews and decisions in accordance with internal protocols.

• Handle and address requests for information (RFIs) from both internal teams and external partners.

• Analyze and manage transaction monitoring alerts in line with internal risk criteria.

• Evaluate and respond to name screening alerts and escalate potential matches as necessary.

• Observe, evaluate, and report suspicious or unusual activities for further investigation.

• Assist in investigations concerning suspicious activities when required.

• Aid in upholding operational compliance procedures and case management workflows.

• Provide support for regulatory inquiries, audits, and internal compliance reviews as necessary.

• Offer operational insights regarding alert trends and potential enhancements to controls.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in AML/compliance operations, specifically in:

• Cryptocurrency/digital asset platforms

• Fintech or payments companies

• Financial institutions with transaction monitoring obligations

• Proven experience in performing KYC/KYB reviews, transaction monitoring, or name screening investigations

• Capability to carry out operational compliance tasks autonomously and escalate issues when necessary

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Ability to maintain clear and justifiable documentation for investigations and compliance decisions
