Junior Bank Reconciliation Analyst – LATAM/Europe

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Conduct daily and monthly bank reconciliations across various entities utilizing Xero and other ERP systems.

• Align bank transactions with the general ledger while promptly investigating and resolving any discrepancies.

• Keep precise records of reconciliations, accompanying documentation, and escalation logs.

• Assist in processing and categorizing bank transactions, including inter-company transfers and multi-currency entries.

• Generate basic reconciliation reports and summaries for review by the Lead or Accounting Manager.

• Collaborate with the Accounts Payable and Treasury teams to clarify details regarding payments and receipts.

• Highlight unresolved or unusual items for senior management review and ensure follow-through to resolution.

• Aid in month-end closing activities, including bank statement downloads and reconciliation approvals.

• Help maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to reconciliation processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a finance operations role.

• Practical experience with Xero (preferred) or similar cloud-based accounting software.

• Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and fundamental accounting principles.

• Exceptional attention to detail with the capability to work accurately with large datasets.

• Proficiency in Google Workspace, especially Google Sheets (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas) and Google Drive for document management.

• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Experience in a multi-entity or multi-currency accounting setting.

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Airwallex, or comparable platforms.

• Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
