Java/Full Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain full-stack applications that support mortgage and lending workflows (such as LOS, POS, and servicing systems).

• Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

• Construct and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices for loan processing, underwriting, pricing, and document management.

• Create modern, responsive user interfaces for both borrower and internal user experiences.

• Write unit, integration, and component tests; enhance REST coverage and reliability.

• Handle structured and unstructured financial data, including loan files, documents, and blockchain-based assets (if applicable).

• Optimize performance and scalability for high-volume transaction processing.

• Engage in architecture discussions regarding cloud-native and API-first platforms.

• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to facilitate rapid and reliable deployments.

• Diagnose production issues and ensure system reliability and uptime.

• Contribute to technical design discussions and participate in code reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 3–7+ years of experience in full-stack software development.

• Strong expertise in Java (using frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, or similar).

• Experience in building API-driven, microservices-based systems (REST/SOAP).

• Frontend experience with frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.

• Familiarity with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate/JPA.

• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and/or NoSQL.

• Understanding of secure application development and data protection practices.

• Proficiency with Git and modern development workflows.

• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
