This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Providing guidance to clients in both the private and public sectors regarding information security, IT security, and incident/emergency management.
• Evaluating current security architectures and IT infrastructures in relation to ISO 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz, and other pertinent standards and guidelines.
• Independently crafting security concepts, risk assessments, and customized solutions while considering regulatory conditions.
• Creating and advancing information security and incident/continuity management systems in close collaboration with stakeholders.
• Offering advice on regulatory frameworks (DORA, NIS2, BAIT, VAIT, MaRisk, KRITIS).
• Preparing, updating, and enhancing security documentation, as well as organizing training and awareness initiatives.
• Leading project teams technically and mentoring team members.
• A degree in a STEM field or an equivalent qualification backed by relevant professional experience.
• Strong understanding of information security management (ISO 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz) or business continuity management.
• Several years of experience in consulting or practical implementation in cybersecurity or BCM (e.g., as a CISO or Information Security Officer (ISB)).
• Experience with clientele from both private and public sectors.
• Comprehensive IT knowledge paired with expertise in the organizational, legal, and procedural dimensions of information security.
• Capability to communicate complex subjects effectively to varied audiences—from IT management to executive leadership.
• You are self-reliant, client-focused, an effective communicator, and thrive in a team environment.
• A passion for consulting and readiness to explore new areas.
• Willingness to travel within Germany for important client meetings (averaging a maximum of 3 days per month).
• Readiness to undergo security screening (SÜ1 or SÜ2) in accordance with the Security Clearance Act (SÜG).
• Proficient in both German and English, enhancing your profile.
