IT Auditor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Reports to the IT Audit Manager and assists the audit team by executing design and operating effectiveness testing for Sarbanes-Oxley IT General Controls (ITGC).

• Prepares comprehensive work papers with supporting evidence while effectively communicating the status and findings of the testing.

• Conducts ITGC walkthroughs alongside control owners.

• Participates in a variety of IT audits, including assessments of ITGC during acquisitions, information security, cybersecurity, and system implementations.

• Attends important audit meetings.

• Drafts and communicates control deficiencies along with root cause analysis.

• Ensures that all documentation is meticulously tracked in AuditBoard.

• Supports special projects and actively seeks ongoing learning opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; an advanced degree is advantageous.

• Over 2 years of relevant work experience in a public accounting firm, consulting firm, or IT Audit.

• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerBI and Visio; familiarity with Workday, AuditBoard, Oracle, and Sage X3 is a plus.

• Understanding of compliance and audit frameworks (NIST, COBIT, etc.).

• Knowledge of technical platforms, networks, security concepts, and data retrieval techniques.

• Experience in a remote work environment is a plus.

• A professional certification is required within one year of the hire date.
