This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• As a member of our architecture team, which comprises three professionals in total, you will integrate architectural practices across various segments of the organization.
• We collaboratively plan and drive the interoperability and migration of systems towards beyonnex, shaping the technical direction for engineering teams.
• Acting as a liaison between product requirements and the technical capabilities of our systems, we identify trade-offs, eliminate obstacles, and ensure alignment between product and engineering teams.
• Facilitate the development of technical concepts alongside engineering teams and propose these concepts when expedient, remaining open to feedback and discussion.
• Contribute to our technical strategy and architectural vision to ensure that our current decisions do not constrain future opportunities.
• Maintain a hands-on approach when necessary—partnering with engineers on complex challenges, prototyping, and reviewing essential designs.
• Work closely with our dedicated AI, infrastructure, and various capability teams as engaged stakeholders—helping to shape their developments and promote their utilization across the organization, including within our own team.
• A relevant educational background (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
• Multiple years of hands-on software development experience, demonstrating a successful history of collaboration across diverse teams and domains.
• Strong technical expertise in distributed, event-driven systems on AWS, with an understanding of when to centralize versus when to federate.
• Excellent soft skills, including persuasion, stakeholder management, and facilitation. You can effectively engage a room without dominating it, fostering alignment among participants.
• Comfortable with hands-on work when required—capable of writing code and reviewing differences in code.
• Proficient communication skills in both English and German (C1 or higher).
• Engage in architectural work that genuinely impacts the entire organization—you will influence the integration and migration of systems across the group, not merely focus on a single team's backlog.
• Join a small, experienced architecture team.
• Enjoy real influence over the technical direction, without the need for multiple committee approvals.
• Collaborate with dedicated teams, including an AI team, an infrastructure team, and various capability teams across the organization—allowing you to leverage existing resources instead of starting from scratch.
• Access to modern hardware and the chance to work with innovative technologies.
• In addition to our 100% remote work option, we also offer offices in Hamburg (Hammerbrook) and Munich for those who prefer in-person collaboration.
• Opportunities and budget for personal development.
• Flexible working hours.
• 30 days of vacation.
• Employee events to celebrate our achievements and foster team spirit.
• Community of Practice and Knowledge Nuggets to enhance your skills.
• Company benefits and mental health initiatives.
• Subsidized membership in Urban Sports Club.
• Job ticket.
• JobRad leasing.
• Complimentary coffee, tea, and water in our office.
