IR Coding Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Evaluate documents to determine all procedures and diagnoses.

• Ensure precise coding in accordance with the current coding standards.

• Identify and communicate any discrepancies in documentation.

• Conduct analysis of medical record documentation.

• Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes.

• Record coding errors and provide assistance during audits.

• Uphold confidentiality in line with HIPAA regulations and company policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or a comparable qualification.

• RHIT and/or CPC certification is required.

• Must hold a Certified Interventional Radiology Cardiovascular Coder (CIRCC) certification or have a minimum of 5 years of experience in interventional radiology coding.

• At least one (1) year of medical billing experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with the 2023 MDM Guidelines is required.
