This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
β’ You will be responsible for overseeing a diverse array of intellectual property matters on a daily basis, with a particular emphasis on contentious IP and brand protection activities.
β’ Managing various IP disputes, including trademark infringement, passing off, copyright, and design rights claims.
β’ Providing advice on brand enforcement strategies, encompassing pre-action plans, settlement negotiations, and alternative dispute resolution.
β’ Addressing domain name disputes and issues related to online brand protection.
β’ Offering guidance on breaches of confidential information and trade secrets disputes.
β’ Assisting clients with IP strategy and enforcement to help them safeguard and uphold their intellectual property rights.
β’ In addition to dispute resolution, you will also have the chance to advise on various non-contentious IP matters, including IP licenses and assignments, ownership and exploitation issues, while supporting clients with broader brand management and IP protection strategies.
β’ Approximately 6β10 years of post-qualification experience as a solicitor, specializing in intellectual property matters.
β’ Substantial experience in managing contentious IP cases, specifically trademark and copyright disputes.
β’ Proven experience overseeing matters from pre-action stages through to settlement or formal proceedings when necessary.
β’ A keen interest in developing a comprehensive IP practice that integrates disputes, advisory services, and brand protection efforts.
β’ Strong technical capabilities and the ability to manage cases with suitable supervision.
β’ Excellent skills in client relations and a collaborative mindset when working with colleagues.
β’ A business-oriented approach, providing practical advice aimed at achieving client goals.
β’ A desire for ongoing learning, business development, and contributing to the growth of the IP & Brand Protection team.
