Intermediate Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and develop back-end application components, such as FHIR operations, primarily utilizing Java and associated technologies.

• Maintain and enhance core product code, emphasizing quality, performance, and long-term maintainability.

• Engage in code reviews, adhere to team coding standards, and actively contribute to the enhancement of development practices.

• Analyze requirements and suggest technical solutions at various phases of development.

• Construct and refine proof-of-concept integrations.

• Diagnose and resolve issues reported by clients or identified during testing phases.

• Investigate relevant technologies and share findings with the team.

• Generate and sustain technical documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar field.

• Over 4 years of professional experience in back-end development.

• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring; familiarity with REST APIs, SQL, and Git.

• Experience with complete feature development and unit testing methodologies.

• Capability to work independently on assigned responsibilities while effectively collaborating within a team environment.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and contributing to technical problem-solving efforts.

• Experience in creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation.

• Knowledge or experience in healthcare, HL7, or FHIR is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Apache Camel and developing robust integration patterns to facilitate seamless data exchange across diverse systems.
