
Integrated Absence Claims Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
β’ Engaging with claimants, employers, and various medical professionals via phone and email to collect information related to Short Term Disability Claims, Family Medical Leaves, and applicable state benefits.
β’ Partnering with fellow case managers, nurse case managers, and consulting physicians to ensure timely and appropriate claim decisions.
β’ Analyzing intricate medical records and effectively utilizing an array of tools and resources to determine suitable approval durations and future action planning.
β’ Performing precise financial calculations in accordance with company policies and state regulations.
β’ High School diploma or GED.
β’ 1-2 years of experience in claims, leaves, or customer service.
β’ Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
β’ Exceptional organizational skills with a capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
β’ Experience in disability and/or absence management claims.
