This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Examine inpatient medical records and claims to guarantee precise coding and reimbursement.
• Allocate and confirm ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and DRG codes.
• Evaluate coding quality and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
• Investigate and settle provider disputes using a fair and fact-driven method.
• Analyze intricate clinical documentation and coding situations.
• Work collaboratively with other teams to clarify coding and medical details.
• Aid in cost reduction by enhancing payment precision and minimizing errors.
• A minimum of four years of experience in MSDRG coding auditing.
• RHIA, RHIT, or CCS Certification (must have maintained certification for at least four years).
• Background in conducting inpatient coding audits within a health insurance or hospital environment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting claims.
• Skilled in gathering or referencing data across multiple systems simultaneously.
