This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct inpatient coding audits and review services for client sites remotely from a home office.
• Collaborate with clients to perform coding audits and/or review services across various types of inpatient facility records.
• Analyze trends based on findings from coding audits and reviews, and develop recommendations for corrective action plans.
• Carry out necessary research to support findings presented to clients.
• Provide in-service education to clients regarding specific coding trends that have been identified, upon request.
• Aid in the design and delivery of educational seminars for clients and staff.
• Collaborate with other members of the HIM Consulting Division on senior-level projects.
• RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification.
• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in conducting inpatient facility audits and reviews, alongside prior coding experience.
• Proactive in performing research to uphold a high level of knowledge and skill.
• Capable of remaining impartial and objective when finalizing and presenting audit findings.
• Eagerness to take ownership of responsibilities and meet deadlines.
• Proficient computer skills, including the ability to use UASI audit software and securely transfer files in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently both on-site and through webinar/conference calls.
