This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 7 DevOps and Infrastructure engineers.
• Facilitate agile delivery, sprint planning, and backlog prioritization to ensure infrastructure deliverables align with AI research and product roadmaps.
• Implement best practices for Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), continuous integration, and incident post-mortems.
• Manage high-density GPU clusters within a multi-cloud ecosystem optimized for large custom AI model training and real-time inference workflows.
• Oversee infrastructure consumption, monitor cloud/hardware expenses, negotiate vendor agreements, and enhance GPU utilization.
• Act as the senior technical escalation point for intricate infrastructure incidents and architectural decisions.
• Standardize platform deployments utilizing Infrastructure as Code and contemporary container orchestration techniques.
• Collaborate with security stakeholders to ensure our AI training environments comply with industry security standards.
• Demonstrated success in leading or managing a team of 5+ infrastructure, platform, or DevOps engineers.
• Practical experience in architecting and managing GPU-intensive workloads (NVIDIA clusters, cloud AI accelerators) for compute-heavy applications.
• Proficient with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform (or OpenTofu), and multi-cloud environments (with extensive hands-on GCP experience).
• Proven experience in designing, optimizing, and maintaining high-performance storage architectures and caching layers for demanding compute workloads.
• Strong background in cloud cost governance (FinOps), capacity planning, and vendor relations.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to connect business needs with intricate technical infrastructure details.
