This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• Oversee the creation, upkeep, and advancement of conceptual and logical information models that foster a shared understanding of essential business concepts throughout the organization.
• Take ownership of and contribute to central information architecture artifacts such as the Enterprise Data Model and Data Domain Map, ensuring consistency across various domains and initiatives.
• Spearhead the definition and adoption of business concepts, taxonomies, and semantic standards.
• Collaborate extensively with business stakeholders, data product teams, solution architects, and engineers to convert business requirements into precise information models that inform downstream implementations.
• Ensure coherence between information architecture, data governance policies, and quality expectations.
• Evaluate current information flows and define target-state information architectures that support interoperability and traceability.
• Establish guidelines and best practices for information modeling across initiatives.
• Assist teams in implementing enterprise information models in local delivery contexts.
• Advocate for reuse-first and business-aligned modeling principles.
• Educate, guide, and mentor stakeholders and architects, facilitating the integration of information architecture thinking across teams.
• Mentor architects and contribute to the development of skills within the architecture community.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of architecture tools and workflows, including integration with data catalogs and metadata management systems.
• Extensive experience in an Information Architect, Data Architect, or comparable senior role.
• Demonstrated ability to convert intricate business concepts into clear information models, taxonomies, and definitions.
• Proven expertise in enterprise-level conceptual and logical data modeling.
• In-depth knowledge of semantic modeling, taxonomies, ontologies, and business glossaries.
• Strong understanding of the interplay between information architecture, data management, and data governance.
• Experience collaborating closely with data governance and architecture communities.
• Hands-on experience with ontology or semantic standards (e.g., RDF, OWL, SKOS, SPARQL) or equivalent conceptual modeling methodologies.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and achieve alignment across various domains.
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, and coaching abilities.
• Experience in large-scale, transformation-driven organizations.
