• Collaborate closely with the Chief Legal Officer to spearhead enterprise compliance and strategic initiatives at a fast-growing organization dedicated to its mission.
• Provide counsel to the executive team while integrating compliance into essential decisions and expansion strategies.
• Develop and expand compliance and privacy programs throughout the organization, encompassing clinical operations, telehealth initiatives, payer and provider collaborations, and new strategic projects.
• Enhance and audit compliance and privacy programs through effective monitoring, investigations, remediation, and data-driven insights.
• Act as the spokesperson for compliance in an organization that recognizes that compliance is a shared responsibility.
• Collaborate with security and legal teams to create privacy policies and oversight for a rapidly scaling organization facing various regulatory and contractual privacy obligations concerning protected health information.
• Work alongside product, clinical, and operations teams to design compliant care models and facilitate new service offerings.
• Simplify complex regulations into actionable, scalable processes that promote speed and efficiency while maintaining compliance.
• Represent the organization during audits, payer negotiations, and regulatory engagements.
• Anticipate and address regulatory trends in telehealth, oncology, and value-based care.
• Build and lead a high-performing compliance team, fostering effective organizational design and cross-functional collaboration.
• Cultivate a culture where compliance supports business objectives and drives positive outcomes.
• Over 10 years of leadership in healthcare compliance with enterprise-wide responsibilities in complex, regulated settings.
• Demonstrated success in defining and implementing compliance strategies aligned with growth, market expansion, and risk management.
• Extensive knowledge of federal and state regulations, including HIPAA, TEFCA, Medicare, and issues related to fraud, waste, and abuse, particularly in telehealth and multi-state care models.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders while balancing innovation with regulatory risks.
• Experience in leading large-scale compliance, audit, and risk management functions that yield measurable business outcomes.
• Proven history of building and scaling high-performing teams and developing leaders.
• Significant experience with regulatory audits, payer compliance, and engagement with external stakeholders.
• Preferred experience in high-growth, technology-driven healthcare organizations.
• A bachelor's degree is required; advanced degrees or certifications such as JD, MPH, MBA, or CHC are preferred.
