Head of Architecture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Formulate and lead the comprehensive technology strategy and standardized reference architecture for Vonage's product and IT platforms.

• Collaborate with the CINO and CEO to define a target architecture that supports digital transformation and product excellence throughout the organization.

• Ensure technical governance while maintaining business agility, delivering frameworks that harmonize innovation with operational stability.

• Shift technology investments to prioritize Customer and Employee Experience (CX/EX) journeys instead of pursuing "tech for tech's sake."

• Guide a multidisciplinary architecture team of experts across AI, Enterprise/Data, Enterprise/IT, Developer Experience, and Telecom sectors.

• Cultivate a culture of innovation, experimentation, and startup agility while upholding enterprise discipline.

• Attract and nurture top-tier architecture talent capable of operating at the nexus of technological innovation and business value.

• Work closely with Ericsson stakeholders (Strategy, Technology, and Research) to utilize the extensive Ericsson technology portfolio.

• Define clear responsibilities and collaboration models between the CINO and business units.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, technology strategy, and relevant leadership positions.

• Demonstrated success in defining and executing large-scale technology transformations within complex, multi-business unit organizations.

• Proven experience in leading architecture teams through digital transformation projects.

• Strong expertise in enterprise SaaS technologies, cloud platforms, or telecommunications.

• Background in working within or alongside global organizations, ideally with exposure to various markets and regulatory frameworks.

• Extensive experience in Enterprise IT architecture, encompassing enterprise integration, ERP, ITSM, identity management, and IT service delivery at scale.

• Experience at the intersection of Enterprise IT, digital transformation, and product/engineering — converting operational and business constraints into scalable architectural decisions.

• Exceptional skill in conveying complex technical concepts into a clear vision and actionable plans that resonate with both technical teams and business leaders.

• Proven collaborative leadership style that fosters trust and promotes alignment among diverse stakeholder groups.

• History of building and developing high-performance technical teams.

• Experience working effectively in matrix organizations with multiple reporting lines and stakeholder groups.

• Ability to link technology strategy to business outcomes and commercial value.
