
Grant Auditor – Fiduciary Evaluator Support Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia.
• Conduct reviews and evaluations of financial and programmatic activities for grant recipients to ensure compliance with federal regulations and award stipulations.
• Analyze budgets, expenditures, invoices, and relevant documentation to confirm alignment with approved funding sources and program goals.
• Provide auditing and fiduciary oversight assistance pertaining to the administration of federal grants and financial accountability.
• Aid in monitoring recipient performance, identifying potential risks, and documenting findings, recommendations, and corrective measures.
• Support the assessment of program outcomes and evaluate the alignment between funded activities and expected deliverables.
• Review financial controls, internal processes, and reporting practices to uncover gaps or areas needing enhancement.
• Prepare succinct and clear reports, summaries, and documentation for federal stakeholders.
• Assist in technical support efforts related to grants management, financial compliance, and monitoring activities.
• Collaborate with federal personnel, grant recipients, and program stakeholders to uphold oversight and accountability functions.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in federal grants management, auditing, financial oversight, compliance monitoring, or fiduciary support activities.
• Strong knowledge of federal grant regulations, compliance requirements, and accountability practices related to funding.
• Experience in reviewing budgets, financial documentation, expenditure tracking, and assessing program performance metrics.
• Proven ability to analyze intricate financial and programmatic information with a keen attention to detail.
• Experience in preparing audit findings, monitoring reports, evaluations, or compliance assessments.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
• Preferred experience in supporting human services, emergency preparedness, disaster response, or public health grant programs.
• Familiarity with Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) and federal grants compliance standards is preferred.
• CPA, CGFM, CFE, PMP, or related certification is preferred.
• Preferred experience in providing monitoring, evaluation, or fiduciary oversight support for federally funded programs.
• Contributing to mission-critical federal human services and emergency preparedness programs.
