This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Take charge of the architecture, ongoing development, and upkeep of the environment on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring it is scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-effective.
• Oversee and manage cloud-native infrastructure, integrating IaaS resources (Compute Engine with Managed Instance Groups) and serverless solutions (Cloud Run and Cloud Functions).
• Design and oversee the network topology, which includes VPCs, subnets, routing, and load balancing (Cloud Load Balancers) to facilitate efficient traffic distribution.
• Administer databases in Cloud SQL, guaranteeing high availability, replication, and consistent backup protocols.
• Safeguard the environment by configuring IAM, firewalls, Cloud Armor, and conducting continuous monitoring with Security Command Center (SCC).
• Track, assess, and optimize costs (FinOps), pinpointing opportunities to lower expenses and enhance resource utilization.
• Establish and uphold observability through Cloud Monitoring, Logging, and alerting systems.
• Develop and sustain CI/CD pipelines with Cloud Build, incorporating continuous deployment and infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Extensive experience in designing and managing environments on Google Cloud Platform.
• Expertise in cloud networking, inclusive of VPC, Cloud NAT, Load Balancing, DNS, and firewall configurations.
• Practical experience with serverless architectures (Cloud Run and/or Cloud Functions).
• Proficient in managed databases, particularly Cloud SQL.
• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems.
• Experience utilizing monitoring and observability tools (Cloud Monitoring and Logging).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform) and the development of CI/CD pipelines.
• Capacity to work methodically in dynamic settings, balancing stability, costs, and technical advancements.
• The following are advantageous:
• Official Google Cloud certifications (Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect, or Security Engineer).
• Advanced knowledge of cloud security, including the use of Security Command Center and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker and Google Kubernetes Engine - GKE).
