Golang Engineer – SRE Engineering Productivity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with fellow engineers to design, construct, scale, and maintain systems.

• Utilize industry-standard tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Grafana, Spinnaker, MySQL, ElasticSearch, Google Cloud, and Varnish.

• Review and enhance specifications and implementations created by team members.

• Design and develop features, associated tests, and solutions.

• Address bugs and refactor code as necessary.

• Provide support for tools and infrastructure to assist Arista’s development team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a BS in Computer Science with 3 years of experience, a MS in Computer Science with 2 years of experience, or a Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, Python, JavaScript, C++, or Java.

• Familiarity with Linux (or UNIX) operating systems.

• Understanding of operating systems, networking systems, and distributed systems.

• Practical knowledge of software engineering principles.

• Strong problem-solving and software troubleshooting abilities.

• Capability to independently design solutions and implement features.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within small teams.
