Global Trade Services Functional Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Act as the SAP GTS Functional Lead and Subject Matter Expert, responsible for the design, configuration, and delivery of GTS capabilities.

• Spearhead the implementation of global trade compliance, export controls, licensing, and customs management solutions.

• Provide strategic guidance for GTS architecture and its integration with SAP S/4HANA and associated modules.

• Ensure that SAP solutions comply with U.S. and international trade regulations; create auditable, compliant processes.

• Recognize compliance risks and execute mitigation strategies, internal controls, and practices for audit readiness.

• Lead the integration of SAP GTS with TM, SD, and other modules to incorporate compliance within logistics and order execution workflows.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (MM, EWM, Finance) to facilitate end-to-end process alignment.

• Serve as a functional lead in an Agile setting; guide solution design, mentor team members, and assist with Agile ceremonies.

• Direct the gathering of requirements, fit-gap analysis, and the translation into scalable SAP solutions.

• Supervise testing (SIT/UAT), deployment, and post-go-live stabilization, ensuring data integrity, reporting, and continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess an active Secret clearance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Over 8 years of SAP functional experience with in-depth expertise in SAP GTS.

• Experience in supporting SAP S/4HANA environments and their integrations.

• Strong understanding of global trade compliance regulations, export controls, and customs processes.

• Experience in Agile delivery environments.

• Proven ability to lead functional design initiatives and influence stakeholders.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
