Gastroenterology Coder

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Responsible for coding procedures, surgeries, and both hospital and office visits related to Gastroenterology.

• Verify the accuracy and completeness of diagnosis codes based on the services provided.

• Ensure proper documentation or system entries for claims processing.

• Extract additional data elements during the Chart Review process while coding.

• Accurately assign CPT and ICD-9 Codes for physician and facility services.

• Stay updated on medical coding and billing regulations as well as auditing protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• Graduate of medical allied courses such as Nursing, Physical Therapy, or Medical Technology.

• Minimum requirement of a 6-month consultancy contract, with the possibility of renewal.

• 1-2 years of experience in Gastroenterology coding is preferred.

• Certification as a Gastroenterology Coder is preferred but not mandatory.

• Must possess an active coding license (e.g., CPC).

• Familiarity with ICD-9 or ICD-10 coding is essential.

• Proficient in data entry with a minimum of 50-60 accurate keystrokes per minute.

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and effective time management skills are required.
