
Full Stack Developer – DevOps, Cloud Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, create, and sustain full stack applications, backend services, APIs, and internal tools.
• Write clean and maintainable code using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Go (Golang).
• Develop and enhance frontend or internal tools utilizing React.js or similar frameworks.
• Create RESTful APIs, integrations, and facilitate service-to-service communication.
• Construct automation scripts and internal tools to optimize deployments, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable releases.
• Configure and manage AWS services, including ECS, EKS, Lambda, EC2, RDS, S3, and CloudWatch.
• Optimize and maintain databases such as PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora.
• Utilize RabbitMQ or similar tools for inter-service communication.
• Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Create and maintain monitoring, logging, alerts, dashboards, and observability practices using tools such as New Relic, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana to enhance system reliability, performance visibility, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and development teams to deliver secure and scalable releases.
• Use tools like Jira Service Management/Jira Service Desk for issue tracking, escalation workflows, production support, and cross-functional communication with QA, Customer Support, and Development teams.
• Assist in production troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and system reliability enhancements.
• Leverage AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms for development, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience in a full stack, backend, DevOps, or cloud systems role.
• Strong expertise in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React.js or another contemporary frontend framework.
• Solid experience in designing and developing backend services, RESTful APIs, integrations, and service-based systems.
• Intermediate hands-on experience with AWS services, including ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, EC2, S3, and CloudWatch.
• Proficient in CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git-based workflows.
• Extensive database experience across relational and non-relational systems, including PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and MongoDB.
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ, Redis, microservices, serverless architectures, GraphQL, real-time messaging, or similar distributed system technologies.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as New Relic, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Understanding of Linux systems, networking fundamentals, application security, cloud security best practices, security reviews, and vulnerability management.
• Background in developing tools or solutions for developers, operations, QA, customer support, or other internal users, including exposure to Jira Service Management/Jira Service Desk workflows.
• Exposure to SaaS, fleet management, logistics, telematics, IoT, or connected device ecosystems.
• Proven experience using AI-powered development tools for coding, documentation, testing, reviewing, and troubleshooting.
