• Design and develop both front-end components (using React or a similar JavaScript framework) and back-end components (utilizing Python), ensuring a smooth, responsive, and high-performance user experience.
• Create scalable, secure, and maintainable web application architectures that can support enterprise-level usage.
• Build and manage RESTful APIs and backend services with Node.js and related frameworks.
• Construct reusable UI components and responsive interfaces using React alongside modern JavaScript and TypeScript practices.
• Ensure that all application features comply with Section 508 requirements, including accessibility standards for users with disabilities.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create accessible and user-friendly interfaces that adhere to federal accessibility guidelines.
• Work closely with data engineers, DevOps, QA, and product teams to integrate both front-end and back-end systems.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, code reviews, demos, and retrospectives.
• Implement secure coding practices while ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity and data protection standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance application performance across the full stack.
• Support integration and deployment activities within CI/CD pipelines in cloud or hybrid environments.
• Maintain technical documentation related to application architecture, APIs, and UI components.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Over 5 years of experience in full stack software development.
• Strong practical experience with React for front-end development.
• Significant experience with Python or Node.js for back-end development and API creation.
• Background in designing and implementing end-to-end web applications in enterprise or government settings.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON data structures, and microservices-based architectures.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their associated tools.
• Experience in federal government or similar highly regulated environments with strict security and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile development methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication abilities and adeptness at collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Keen attention to detail, particularly in relation to accessibility and usability standards.
• Capability to work independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
• Strong skills in team collaboration and participation in Agile processes.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.
• Must reside within the Continental US.
