This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Providing high-quality linguistic services to our clients.
• Executing on-demand translation assignments.
• Conducting copy-editing tasks for designated projects or accounts.
• Offering lead support for assigned projects or accounts.
• Overseeing and maintaining language materials (including glossaries, Style Guides, and work instructions) to ensure they meet quality standards and remain current as required by the account or project.
• Managing project-related inquiries.
• Facilitating effective communication among team members and addressing terminology and language-related questions.
• Testing and qualifying new freelancers and vendors as necessary.
• Developing and training internal linguists/new and existing freelancers according to the needs of the accounts and Welocalize.
• Engaging with clients on linguistic issues as needed.
• Contributing to the creation of new and enhanced working processes.
• Meeting or surpassing the productivity KPI.
• Achieving objectives set by the Squad Lead.
• A university degree in Translation/Applied Languages or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in translation/localization.
• Native proficiency in French Canadian.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Comprehensive understanding of the localization process.
• Competent user of standard software, including Windows and Office applications.
• Experienced with standard CAT tools, such as XTM and SDL Studio, as well as issue tracking and query management tools like JIRA.
• Quick learner of new localization tools and applications.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong knowledge of terminology relevant to two or more subject areas.
• Capable of working under tight deadlines.
• Skilled at providing clear, concise, and constructive feedback.
• Proficient in presenting information effectively and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and linguists.
• Ability to solve practical problems and manage a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Capable of interpreting various instructions presented in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats.
• Willing and able to train/teach others and share knowledge.
• Experience and willingness to communicate positively with customers at different levels.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a virtual team.
