Forward Deployment Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Engage with cutting-edge Cloud computing technologies to address complex, repetitive tasks for users leveraging Cloud platforms such as AWS, Salesforce, Microsoft, and others.

• Implement the latest methodologies for developing SaaS applications, focusing on multitenancy, scalability, and handling large data volumes / Big Data.

• Enhance and broaden our portfolio to support over 200 widely-used Cloud applications.

• Gain insights not only into software development but also into the processes of designing, developing, and launching a product from initial concept to widespread customer adoption.

• Customer Discovery: Facilitate structured workshops with client stakeholders to identify workflows, pain points, and desired results.

• Solution Design: Convert business requirements into technical workflows, automations, and integrations.

• Deployment Execution: Set up, test, and implement solutions, ensuring a smooth go-live process and user adoption.

• Workflow Automation: Create and tailor automations utilizing APIs, scripts, or low-code platforms.

• Technical Troubleshooting: Identify integration challenges, resolve obstacles, and refine solutions based on client feedback.

• Customer Advocacy: Act as the technical authority during onboarding and beyond, guaranteeing long-term customer success.

• Feedback Loop: Share insights from deployments with product and engineering teams to influence roadmap priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent experience in delivering production integrations.

• 4–8 years of experience in a customer-facing technical position where you actively wrote and managed the code (e.g., Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Integration Engineer, Implementation Engineer, or similar roles).

• Proficient coding skills (Python, Java, Go, or similar) — capable of constructing and debugging real integration logic, beyond just configuring a UI.

• Extensive knowledge of SaaS systems, REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, and authentication methods (OAuth, API keys, basic SSO).

• Familiarity with workflow automation platforms, CI/CD processes, and basic observability/monitoring tools.

• Comfortable with SQL and at least one BI tool (Looker, Tableau, Superset) for data validation and impact demonstration.

• Proven ability to work independently in ambiguous, loosely-defined situations and drive towards a viable solution.

• Exceptional communication skills — capable of leading a discovery workshop, articulating technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders, and producing clear documentation.

• Strongly Preferred: Practical experience with LLM/agentic frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or similar) and their application to real-world workflow or data challenges.

• Experience with RAG pipelines, prompt/eval design, or AI observability and governance.

• Previous on-site experience with enterprise clients during implementation is a plus.

• Nice to Have: A background in consulting or early-stage startup settings (often correlates with success in Forward Deployed Engineer roles due to comfort with ambiguity and ownership).

• MBA preferred.
