This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Analyze, interpret, and integrate scientific data to evaluate environmental impacts.
• Prepare ESA Biological Opinions, Letters of Concurrence, and MSA responses.
• Review biological assessments, permit applications, and consultation packages.
• Provide technical support to action agencies and applicants.
• Draft enrollment documentation for programmatic consultations.
• Prepare NEPA environmental documentation.
• Develop ESA Section 10 permit documentation.
• Revise documents based on feedback from NOAA, General Counsel, tribal entities, and the public.
• Coordinate with NMFS engineers, Science Centers, and research partners.
• Maintain administrative records and consultation tracking systems.
• Participate in technical teams, meetings, and stakeholder coordination efforts.
• Support mitigation banking initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist with documentation for FOIA responses.
• Deliverables include ESA Biological Opinions, NEPA documentation, and monthly progress reports.
• Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree.
• Knowledge of salmonid life cycles and their habitat requirements.
• Strong technical writing and analytical abilities.
• Experience in team-oriented, interdisciplinary environments.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workplace tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
