Financial Auditor – Commercial Real Estate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Identify areas for Audit and Quality Control Scope

• Manage transactions on the Yardi Platform

• Ensure accuracy in A/P entries, journal entries, rent roll, and CAM reconciliations

• Oversee lease abstractions and maintain data integrity in lease administration

• Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in GL coding

• Monitor the output quality of the offshore team

• Assess accuracy of work products, turnaround times, and adherence to processes

• Evaluate communication quality and manage escalation processes

• Track SLA compliance and error rates

• Ensure adherence to workflow and process compliance

• Manage AP approval routing and maintain authorization controls

• Oversee lease execution and documentation workflows

• Handle vendor onboarding and contract management processes

• Maintain the integrity of financial reporting

• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of month-end closes

• Investigate budget-to-actual variances

• Govern data quality

• Maintain master data quality in Yardi (tenant, vendor, unit data)

• Ensure compliance with document management and retention policies

• Establish success metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)

• Define measurable outcomes that the unit will track and report from Day 1:

• Achieve error rate reduction in Yardi transactions (target: <2% error rate within 12 months)

• Complete scheduled audits on time (audit cycle completion rate)

• Resolve findings efficiently and track average days-to-remediation

• Maintain quality scores for the offshore team (individual and aggregate)

• Measure repeat finding rates to determine issue resolution

• Assess stakeholder satisfaction from internal clients of the QCA unit

• Evaluate internal controls and identify financial and operational risks

• Prepare audit summaries and contribute to internal corporate reporting

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field

• 3–5 years of direct experience working with Yardi Voyager (accounts payable, general ledger, lease administration, or reporting modules)

• Strong accounting background capable of identifying GL coding errors, misclassifications, and reconciliation discrepancies

• Highly desirable experience with CAM reconciliation reviews and rent roll audits

• Proficient in writing and executing custom Yardi reports (experience with SQR or Yardi report writer)

• Detail-oriented with a high tolerance for transactional review tasks

• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Yardi or similar systems

• Knowledge of GAAP and ASC 842 standards

• Familiarity with NOI, IRR, and cap rates

• Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and communication skills
