This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
• Develop and implement medical strategies and engagements for designated customers within the Southwest region (AZ, UT, NV, NM).
• Offer expertise in malignant hematology and Pfizer products to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as a bridge for medical information and customer insights.
• Provide compliant responses to unsolicited medical inquiries from healthcare professionals (HCPs) and deliver approved medical content.
• Manage incoming HCP inquiries through the established triage process.
• Identify key customer segments and pursue medical engagement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Oncology R&D and Global Product Development to pinpoint clinical trial sites, particularly those serving under-represented patient populations.
• Offer medical support throughout the Investigator Sponsored Research process.
• Enhance malignant hematology knowledge through congress data and literature on disease states.
• Lead asset initiatives and effectively communicate study design, methodology, data analysis, and interpretation.
• Oversee the assigned territory and liaise with local Patient Advocacy Groups.
• Provide insights regarding patient organization structures, capabilities, and population needs.
• Participate in Medical, therapeutic-area, and asset cross-functional committees.
• Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs within clinical and professional associations and societies.
• Mentor onboarding partners, advisory board leads, and study leaders.
• Contribute to special projects as required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a health science is mandatory.
• PharmD/PhD with over 5 years of experience, MBA/MSc with at least 7 years of experience, or BA/BSc with a minimum of 8 years of experience.
• Recognized subject matter expertise in malignant hematology among internal and external stakeholders.
• Must currently reside in Arizona, Utah, Nevada, or New Mexico, ideally in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area.
• Capability to handle a high volume of projects in a remote setting, prioritize tasks, implement successfully, exercise sound judgment, and engage in continuous improvement.
• Ability to collaborate within a matrixed, multidisciplinary team and build professional relationships with Pfizer and customers.
• Skill in managing and leading change within a dynamic external healthcare environment.
• Change agility and the ability to adapt to new therapeutic areas, territories, projects, and organizational changes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to network across the enterprise.
• Proficiency in quickly adopting and utilizing new digital technologies and resources, as well as documenting medical interactions.
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
• Capability to operate a Pfizer company vehicle.
• Willingness to travel by air regularly and attend HCP/customer, corporate, national, and team meetings.
• Reasonable proximity to an airline hub city is necessary.
• Flexibility to travel 60–80% of the time.
• Availability to work weekends when required for advisory boards, regional meetings, and congresses.
• PharmD, PhD, or an equivalent terminal doctoral degree is highly preferred.
• Strong expertise and/or clinical experience in malignant hematology is preferred.
• An established HCP network within the territory is preferred.
• Familiarity with internal and external SOPs, rules, and regulations regarding Pfizer/customer interactions is preferred.
• Previous experience in Field Medical is preferred.
• Must have authorization to be employed in the U.S. by any employer.
• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required.
• U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
