This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +2 more states.
• Execute and provide physical and financial audits for the Risk organization at NextGear Capital.
• Assist the client-facing Operations team members in managing the dealer account portfolio.
• Build strong relationships with dealers and carry out thorough risk assessments at dealer sites, auctions, and repair facilities.
• Examine, observe, and document dealership operations and practices while identifying potential risks.
• Evaluate collateral through lot and title audits to assess dealers’ equity and business health for underwriting purposes.
• Confirm inventory in market share conversions exceeding $500,000 to mitigate risks while expanding the portfolio.
• Share audit findings with dealers and initiate follow-up actions, including re-educating dealers, analyzing inventory trends, collecting payments, and securing necessary documentation.
• Support Recovery during repossessions by gathering keys, securing collateral, arranging transportation to auction sites, and monitoring daily funding receivables.
• Present audit outcomes in written, visual, and spoken formats to Operations, Risk, and Senior Leadership.
• Conduct repo and location audits.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, along with up to 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Alternatively, 4 years of experience in a related field without a degree will be considered.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Willingness and ability to travel regionally on short notice 75% of the time.
• Extensive driving required; a valid driver's license is mandatory.
• Capability to prioritize tasks based on critical risks.
• Strong independent judgment and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously within designated timeframes.
• Skills in preparation, organization, workflow, timeline management, and expectation management.
• Capacity to build rapport and trust with colleagues and clients.
• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in challenging or hostile field environments.
• Willingness to work in diverse weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, sleet, and other adverse conditions.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Preferably 3+ years of experience in the auto industry.
• 1–2 years of audit/inspection experience is preferred.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
• No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, or visa sponsorship is available now or in the future.
• Base salary range of $61,200.00–$91,800.00.
